Phillip
During my 31 year teaching career, I’ve taught just about every course in high school Mathematics—with the greatest experience in AP Calculus AB and BC (18 years), Honors Geometry (12 years) and Trigonometry (10 years). I’ve also been an AP Reader for Calculus since 2018.
I also coached men’s basketball and women’s track for 11 years. Since giving up coaching, I’ve picked up officiating high school basketball for the past 10 years.
I like to golf, go to college and professional sports events, and go to rock concerts with my wife of 30 years in my spare time.
I’m a long time Tar Heel, Charlotte Hornets and Carolina Panthers fan.
Veronica
Hello! I am a certified teacher with over 16 years’ experience in education. I am married and have 3 boys. Two of my favorite things are music and coffee! I love reading and it is my favorite subject to teach. I consider myself a lifelong learner who aims to make a difference in students’ lives and help them achieve academic success. I believe a good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill a love of learning.
Tracy
Hello! My name is Ms. Tracy and I have been an educator in elementary public schools in Georgia since 2003. Currently, I teach English Language Arts to 5th grade students and have enjoyed watching them learn and grow this year. I began tutoring with Love to Learn Tutor last year and really enjoy working one on one with individual students through this unique online learning platform.
This experience has enriched my perspective as an educator and I am thankful to be given an opportunity to continue to positively impact students outside the classroom. On a personal note, I am working on my doctorate degree in Curriculum and Instruction taking one class at a time. My hobbies include traveling, spending time with family, and running.
Eric
My name is Eric Miller and after 25 years of teaching middle and high school Math in a couple of Christian schools in Virginia, I retired during COVID and began private Math tutoring. In 2022 we moved (back) to North Carolina where our 4 grown children and 6 of our 7 grandchildren live. I teach part-time at The Covenant School in addition to my tutoring schedule. I’ve worked with everything from 7th grade Math to Calculus, though I lean towards upper high school Math.
I play bass and guitar on the worship team at my church, Mercy Hill, I cycle when I can, and yes, Die Hard IS a Christmas movie!
What do baby parabolas drink?…. Quadratic formula!
Megan
Growing up, Megan never imagined herself in the education field. However, when she started tutoring other students as part of her National Honors Society requirements in High School, she fell in love with helping others in their learning journey. Whether it was for one session or one semester, Megan enjoyed the process of encouraging others who struggled with learning.
She slowly realized that sometimes coming alongside a student one on one was the most effective strategy to help them understand the content. They were not struggling with the content because they were unable, they just needed to see it in a different and more personal way. She loves working with a student who particularly does not enjoy Math, because it gives her the opportunity to change their mind, and show them they are capable of achieving success in Math.
Megan has been married for over 2 years now, and is a military spouse. Although she and her husband do not have children yet, they have two dogs that are basically like their children! When she is not teaching, Megan enjoys spending time outside her dogs, reading, or gardening.

Natalie
Hi, my name is Natalie. I have a passion for empowering young minds by teaching boys and girls how to become confident readers in a fun and exciting way. I am a retired National Boards Certified Teacher with 30+ years of experience. I specialize in reading and language arts. The best part about being a retiree is I still get to do one of my most favorite things, which is teaching young students how to develop a love for reading, which helps them make connections and expand their understanding of the world.
Claire
I looove Math. In the nerdiest way possible. It’s a language that I enjoy speaking, and a world I get excited to invite, and sometimes drag, students into. I began tutoring students in Math my junior year of high school and have been untangling students’ Math wires ever sense.
After teaching Math for 11 years, you learn to quickly understand where students are and what they need to get over their personal math hurdles. When I am not talking to someone about Math, I am hanging out with friends or working on a entrepreneurial endeavor. Hopefully we’ll get to chat more soon!
Kelsea
Kelsea is someone who loves both learning and teaching, a passion inspired by the many teachers and tutors who supported her throughout elementary and middle school. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Middle Grades Education with concentrations in English/Language Arts and Social Studies, along with a minor in Teaching English as a Second Language, from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. History and Social Studies are her favorite subjects. In her free time, she enjoys reading, watching history documentaries and soccer games, trying new dessert recipes, and going on walks.
Lindsey
Hi, I’m Lindsey—a tea-loving, yoga-stretching, book-obsessed tutor who turns “I can’t” into “I totally get it!” I’ve been teaching and tutoring kids for years, and nothing beats that lightbulb moment when it all clicks. Whether we’re conquering tricky math or untangling reading, I bring the energy, the patience, and a sprinkle of silly. Learning should be fun—and with me, it usually involves a few giggles and a lot of high-fives.
Dymphna
With a heart for teaching and a passion for helping students grow, I bring years of classroom experience and one-on-one support to every tutoring session. As a certified teacher and lifelong learner, I specialize in creating personalized strategies that help students build confidence and succeed—both academically and personally.
Whether it’s catching up or getting ahead, I’m here to walk alongside each student with patience, encouragement, and faith-rooted values. I have a masters in special education which aids in my support to students.
Amanda
Hi there! I’m a teacher with 18 years of experience, and I currently tutor English Language Arts and Social Studies. I have a juris doctorate in law from Hofstra University School of law and a BA in International Studies from Southern Oregon University. I’ve worked with students from all over the world.
My students like that I am patient, kind and understanding. My students find that they are able to leave the session feeling more confident.
